Peak to Beak Race

Congratulations to Onelifer Pamela Glendinning who ran the very challenging Peak to Beak Race on Sunday September 20th and won her age category!

Pamela, who is also part of the Onelife Bodybuilding, Figure & Fitness Team, last ran this race in her early thirties (14 years ago) coming in a disappointing 3rd from dead last (something like, 147 out of 150). Twelve years later and several months of nausea inducing, heart pounding, prowler pushing down the alley at Onelife, Pamela improved dramatically, coming in first in her age category and 42 out of 143 competitors. Good work!

Lessons that I never seem to learn:

Never install an upgrade to an operating system the day it's released. What was I thinking? My web design software from Realmac is not Snow Leopard compatible and so until they complete their update we will not be making any significant changes to the site. According to their support blogs they're working hard, so hopefully it won't be too long before it's fixed.

Additional Features at Onelife

After receiving a number of requests, and then conducting an informal survey, we are now able to accept Visa, Mastercard, and debit transactions as methods of payment. Many of our clients have indicated that their preferred method of payment is with a credit card that allows them to collect points and as such we have added this feature to better serve you.

If this is your preference, please don’t hesitate to inquire!

Thank you,

Sean Hawthorne

Updates

Sean is finally able to get back on the floor. The broken leg seems to be progressing, not as quickly as he would like, but it is getting better. We want to send out a heartfelt thank you to all of our clients who have supported us through the disruptions in service, but hey Kimmy is an excellent trainer and probably a little meaner than Sean...change is good. We also got a chance to welcome Elaine to the team and to get our website up and running.

Once we have the technical difficulties with the individual blogs sorted out Sean can share his experiences (hopefully he’ll keep the whining to a minimum) with the ankle, the challenge of working out with an injury, and the difficulty in staying positive when experience such a dramatic change in lifestyle.

Finally Up and Running!

Well, after what seems like years in the making (wait, it is years in the making) we have a website at Onelife! The Onelife weblog will serve as a way of providing news and updates to the happenings at our little studio. We have separate blogs for the each trainer where they can update you on what they are doing with their training, athletics and really anything in general.
